What is an Area Service Committee?
An ASC is a service body that meets the needs of the groups in an area. It is compriosed of Group Service Representatives, a steering committee (chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer and their alternates), and sub-comittee chairs. The sub-comittees offer specialised services that in one way or another serve the groups.
What is a Local Service Committee?
The LSC is an ASC sub-committee. The LSC seeks to further the primary purpose of NA by providing the public with clear and accurate information about NA.
The LSC also carrys the message of recovery to addicts who do not have full access to regular NA meetings.
What is the Convention Committee?
The Convention Committee organises an annual celebration of recovery. The convention serves as a platform to connect members and share experience of NA. This is an in-person convention and positions available are primarily for East Coast Scotland members. Any remaining positions can be for NA members attending the Convention weekend.
Please come along and get involved.
